This is a truly unique flight taking you to an exclusive landing site to Heliworks.

Once you board your helicopter at the helipad in Queenstown you will take off over the beautiful Shotover River and fly across the Skippers Canyon. Your pilot will narrate this journey with interesting stories about the old gold mining days of Queenstown and point out some incredible views along the way. As you venture closer to the Earnslaw Burn Glacier your pilot will take you up close to the glacial landscapes and perform multiple glacier overflights. Witness countless waterfalls cascading down towering cliffs as this is one of the few hanging glaciers in New Zealand.

Your pilot will then descend down into the Earnslaw Burn valley and land you close to its biggest waterfall. This flight is incredibly popular for its extended 20 minute landing with the engines shut off so that you can take in the mesmerising beauty of this landing site. It is no surprise that this glacier has graced the screen of big blockbusters such as The Lord of the Rings.

If you want to make this experience even more memorable, you can add on additional landings or a champagne picnic next to the waterfall to this experience.

Pricing and GST
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and inclusive of 15% GST (Goods and Service Tax). Your card issuer may apply charges for converting currency. These charges are applied by your card issuer, we accept no responsibility for these. We reserve the right to change our prices. We will not change the price without prior notification. This may only happen in the unlikely event that a typing error has occurred and the price has been displayed incorrectly. In this instance, we reserve the right to withdraw your booking/order and offer at the correct price. Any unlikely occurrences will be dealt with at our discretion.

Payment
As all flights are weather dependent, no payment is taken until the time of your flight. We accept, Cash, EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, WeChat and China UnionPay. A 2% surcharge will apply to all credit and contactless transactions made at the counter. There is no surcharge for EFTPOS or debit cards that are inserted or swiped.

Credit card details
Your credit card details are required at the time of booking to secure a place on a flight. Just fill in your card details; Card Number, Card Expiry Date, and Card Holders Full Name on the booking form. By giving us your Credit Card details you agree for us to take full payment from your credit card in the event you do not show up for your flight and you have not contacted us prior to this time.

Online Security
We use Stripe to encrypt your personal information and Credit Card details. Stripe holds your details within a secure system that fully complies with international Payment Card Security Standards (PCSS). Stripe will verify the card details by charging 50c on your Statement as an ‘uncaptured payment’. This is not an actual charge – but purely for verification purposes that the card details supplied are in fact correct.

Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required if you chose to cancel your booking. Any cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will incur a 50% fee. If no notice is given and passengers ‘no-show’ for the flight, 100% of the fare will be charged. If we have to cancel your flight due to bad weather, no fees are incurred.

Weather
All flights are subject to weather conditions on the day. If we cannot undertake the flight at the time you booked due to our often unpredictable weather conditions, we will make our best efforts to reschedule your flight.

New Zealand Applicable Law
This contract is deemed to be made in New Zealand and the law of New Zealand, and of no other country, will apply to all issues relating to the contract or arising out of the contract.

Your booking
All prices listed in our website are ‘share with others’ (SWO) rates. Please understand we may consolidate your flight with other guests if we see fit. If you would like a private experience, please book a private charter.

For the purpose of aircraft weight and balance and in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority rules and regulations, we require all passenger weights at the time of booking. Once we have received and reviewed this information we will be able to confirm the booking.

Cancellations & Refunds

If your service provider cancels the tour or activity you have booked, then you are entitled to a full refund.

Happy Travels New Zealand does not refund in cash and can only refund back onto your Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

Fees paid to Happy Travels for credit card fees, deposits, bus tickets and luggage storage are non-refundable or transferable.

If you decide to cancel your activities or accommodation for any reason, a 50% Cancellation Fee will be applied. In addition to Happy Travels Cancellation Fee, you may also be liable for any cancellation fees charged by the service provider as per their own terms and conditions. It is therefore possible your cancellation fees could be up to 100% of the cost of the booking (for example cancellations made within 24hrs of travel).
Booking Confirmations

Your Responsibilities
Trips with booked dates: It is your responsibility to ensure the dates on vouchers are correct and correspond to your own itinerary, including any transport tickets, campervans & bed nights. Please double-check that the pick-up locations for your selected tours are correct. The times printed on your tickets are generally the departure times of the tours you have booked, arrive 15 minutes prior to the time stated on your voucher to ensure you are on time. If you are late for a tour, the tour operator reserves the right to mark you as a no- show and charge a 100% cancellation fee.

Do I need to reconfirm my bookings?

All bookings must be reconfirmed 48 hours in advance by contacting your tour provider directly using the contact information listed on your tour voucher.

What should i do if my trip is cancelled due to bad weather?

You may either re-schedule directly with the supplier or you can email our support team on [email protected] and include your voucher number, name of product you booked, planned departure date and your contact details. Once you’ve emailed us, you can drop us a line at +64 340 90 978

Do you book tours with flexible dates? If so, how long are they valid for?

Yes, we do have open dated/flexible tickets available. Most tour vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, however please be aware that you may be subject to supplier price fluctuations. All ticket validity is specified on the tour voucher. If you are unsure of the validity of your voucher, just ask one of our wonderful staff.

Do I need travel insurance?

We endorse the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that all travellers take out travel insurance. If you already have travel insurance, please understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance covers you for all of the adventure style travel you have booked with us.

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely, we understand that paying off a big trip in one go isn’t always that easy. We offer flexible payment plans to suit all types of travellers with zero interest or fee’s (minimum $100NZD deposit required).
