Kaitiaki Rafting - Raft The Kaituna

The amazing team at Kaitiaki Rafting provides anything required for the experience: Wetsuits and all safety equipment and has changing rooms and lockers on site so all you have to bring is swimwear and a towel.

Once you are all geared up your friendly rafting guides will divide the group in teams of 6 rafters and each raft will be assigned their personal guide. A full training and safety briefing will be provided, to assure you feel safe during your adventure.

Entry is open to all Kaitiaki customers (aged 13 or over). Entry is not open to employees of Kaitiaki Adventures.

Information published by Kaitiaki on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions.

Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid. By entering the competition, or by accepting a prize, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

The Promotion starts on 1st June 2017 at 9am and closes 01 October 2017 at 11.59pm.

Entrants will need to post their selfie to Kaitiaki Adventures Facebook page with the hashtag
#selfiecashback or to Instagram to enter the competition.

You must make sure you follow the law, and comply with any guidelines we make available, as well as Facebook’s terms of use, community guidelines, and privacy policy, in connection with this competition. If you don’t, we may disqualify your entry and remove your images.

You must not post pictures that identify any third person (unless you have their permission).
Entries will be judged by a member of the Kaitiaki team based upon which image they like the most. Judges decision is final.

Entries per person is unlimited.

There will be one winner per month. The winner will be selected and announced on the final day of every month.

The winner will receive a refund for the price they paid for their individual activity. The individual who uploads the selfie will be the only person to receive a refund (not everyone in the picture).

The winner will be notified via Facebook/Instagram (inbox message). They will have 3 months in which to claim their prize by responding to the message.

Entrants own the intellectual property rights in connection with their entry and the images that form part of your entry. However, by entering the competition the entrant gives permission for Kaitiaki to use, reproduce, publish, share their image in any media (for an unlimited period of time without payment) to promote this competition (including any outcome), and any of Kiatiaki products. If we use your entry, we won’t publish your name with it (or otherwise identify you), unless we have your written consent first.

Prize is not transferable.

Kaitiaki is not responsible for any late, misdirected or incorrectly completed entries, or any technical malfunction, delay or loss of data that occurs in the course of this competition.

Kaitiaki excludes all liability, to the maximum extent permitted by law, for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered by any entrant, winner, or third party included in the image, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained, during the course of entering this competition.

In the event of any dispute, Kaitiaki’s decision is final.

Make sure to check in at the location  specified in your confirmation at least 15 minutes before the  tour begins.

Cancellations & Refunds

If your service provider cancels the tour or activity you have booked, then you are entitled to a full refund.

Happy Travels New Zealand does not refund in cash and can only refund back onto your Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

Fees paid to Happy Travels for credit card fees, deposits, bus tickets and luggage storage are non-refundable or transferable.

If you decide to cancel your activities or accommodation for any reason, a 50% Cancellation Fee will be applied. In addition to Happy Travels Cancellation Fee, you may also be liable for any cancellation fees charged by the service provider as per their own terms and conditions. It is therefore possible your cancellation fees could be up to 100% of the cost of the booking (for example cancellations made within 24hrs of travel).

Your Responsibilities
Trips with booked dates: It is your responsibility to ensure the dates on vouchers are correct and correspond to your own itinerary, including any transport tickets, campervans & bed nights. Please double-check that the pick-up locations for your selected tours are correct. The times printed on your tickets are generally the departure times of the tours you have booked, arrive 15 minutes prior to the time stated on your voucher to ensure you are on time. If you are late for a tour, the tour operator reserves the right to mark you as a no- show and charge a 100% cancellation fee.

All bookings must be reconfirmed 48 hours in advance by contacting your tour provider directly using the contact information listed on your tour voucher.

Yes, we do have open dated/flexible tickets available. Most tour vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, however please be aware that you may be subject to supplier price fluctuations. All ticket validity is specified on the tour voucher. If you are unsure of the validity of your voucher, just ask one of our wonderful staff.

We endorse the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that all travellers take out travel insurance. If you already have travel insurance, please understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance covers you for all of the adventure style travel you have booked with us.
