The Helicopter Line – Southern Glacier Experience
From $725
Venturing from the base of Queenstown to the pinnacles of Mount Aspiring, you will have the opportunity to witness the southern alps of the spiny mountain range.
With naturally mountainous and rigid characteristics, you will have the chance to see vast untouched tracts of natural forestry, ancient glacial icefalls, and beautifully packed snow wisping down the mountains. To top it all off, your pilots will land on the peak so you can get out for a little stroll amongst the peaks of Mount Aspiring. Not a bad way to spend the day with some friends, family, or a romantic date.
Get ready and pack for a fun sightseeing tour. Your included transfer service will provide you with transportation to the Helicopter Line HQ.

Reservations are recommended in advance to avoid disappointment. Simply visit our book now page to select your preferred location and scenic flight then follow the prompts to complete your online booking.
Please Note: A credit card is required to pre-authorise and guarantee your booking. Payment for your flight can be made on the day of your departure. Should you fail to show for the trip when space is guaranteed, your credit card will be debited with the total amount of the booked activity.
MINIMUM NUMBERS
All flights have a minimum passenger number for departures. Bookings will be accepted for numbers less than the required minimum as we will coordinate to achieve the required minimum. Clients are required to reconfirm their reservation the day prior to flying by calling The Helicopter Line base where they have booked to fly. For contact numbers visit our contact us page.
COVID-19 CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If you cannot travel because you are directly impacted by Covid-19 you will be offered the option to reschedule your booking or receive a full refund.
If we are required to move alert levels and reduce capacity or stop operating, you will be contacted by our team to organise a reschedule or refund.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Should inclement weather prevent a flight at the booked location, the same prepaid voucher will be accepted at any of The Helicopter Line aviation bases for a flight of similar duration and price. If you are unable to re-schedule the flight then a full refund will be provided.
No refund will be given for no-shows or changes you make to your booking less than 24 hours prior to departure.
WIN YOUR FLIGHT BACK – TERMS & CONDITIONS
All entry photos must be of Queenstown, West Coast or Mount Cook area.
Entries must be made between the 1st and 30th/31st of the month to be valid for that month’s entries.
Images are not to include branding of other companies.
All images must be produced by the entrant – no bought images will be accepted.
Entrants must have flown with The Helicopter Line during the corresponding month for their entry to be deemed valid.
Entrants are allowed unlimited entries.
This offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
The winner will be contacted within the first 10 working days of the following month.
Following a winner being selected, if no response is made by the entrant within 72 hours a new winner will be selected.
The prize is not exchangeable for any other Totally Tourism product.
All entrants and winners agree to provide The Helicopter Line with an unlimited, perpetual, royalty-free and non-exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the pictures (along with a name credit) in connection with the Competition and promotion of The Helicopter Line.
All entries must use the hashtag #myscenicadventures and @thehelicopterline to be considered a valid entry.
Make sure to check in at the location specified in your confirmation at least 15 minutes before the tour begins.
Cancellations & Refunds
If your service provider cancels the tour or activity you have booked, then you are entitled to a full refund.
Happy Travels New Zealand does not refund in cash and can only refund back onto your Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Fees paid to Happy Travels for credit card fees, deposits, bus tickets and luggage storage are non-refundable or transferable.
If you decide to cancel your activities or accommodation for any reason, a 50% Cancellation Fee will be applied. In addition to Happy Travels Cancellation Fee, you may also be liable for any cancellation fees charged by the service provider as per their own terms and conditions. It is therefore possible your cancellation fees could be up to 100% of the cost of the booking (for example cancellations made within 24hrs of travel).

Trips with booked dates: It is your responsibility to ensure the dates on vouchers are correct and correspond to your own itinerary, including any transport tickets, campervans & bed nights. Please double-check that the pick-up locations for your selected tours are correct. The times printed on your tickets are generally the departure times of the tours you have booked, arrive 15 minutes prior to the time stated on your voucher to ensure you are on time. If you are late for a tour, the tour operator reserves the right to mark you as a no- show and charge a 100% cancellation fee.
All bookings must be reconfirmed 48 hours in advance by contacting your tour provider directly using the contact information listed on your tour voucher.

Yes, we do have open dated/flexible tickets available. Most tour vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, however please be aware that you may be subject to supplier price fluctuations. All ticket validity is specified on the tour voucher. If you are unsure of the validity of your voucher, just ask one of our wonderful staff.
